How does one get "approved" to come in only 1 day a month, and then NEVER be available online because they are working their side gig full time from home? Better question is, which supervisor level signs off on this? Just trying to understand this playing field.

We looked at three properties the first week of October. The realtor with the listings was always in a rush. He had parked beside our car at the final viewing. As we were leaving I saw a T badge laying on his front passenger seat. Did a double take to be sure. Guess he had to rush back to the office/home.
The smart ones figure it out while you didn't. hint hint.
Happens all the time. I have known home builders, electricians, etc that have done it. They even used company facilities and materials to do it.
I have a coworker who has been running a side business from the office for years. The majority of calls involve coordination for the other job. It’s so annoying.
Know of 2 people who were conducting their personal business on company time who are both no longer working at T. Both of their a$$es were fired. Good riddance.

For us it was approved by our 5th level. Never noticed anyone being difficult to get ahold of. Several work longer hours than I do so it isn't accurate to paint all remote workers with the same brush.
Stealth monitoring will put an end to many of the current shenanigans. In office and remote alike.
PJ’s wasn’t kidding when he said less than 1% would be remote. It’s already happening in other orgs. Remote workers will be a thing of the past.

Caregiver time is the best. Saw a former coworker reboarding a cruise in Key West, but didn't talk to her as she was already on the ramp. Mentioned it to her manager 2 days later. Small world, and all that. He looked puzzled and said she went to Chicago 4 days prior on Caregiver time to be with a sister in the final stages of cystic fibrosis. Yikes, my bad.

Are you asking because they are not available to assist you and therefore not doing their job or are you just a jealous piece of garbage who can't get their act together? If it is the former, you just complain to their chain of command. If it is the latter, no one cares, because you are an awful person.
