Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Has your team ever adjusted after layoffs?

Mine is still a hot mess. We have never had good mgmt to begin with, and they’ve been more of an obstacle than assistance since layoffs. They have their numbers to meet, and have never cared to get to know us by skills and competence, and therefore have always had a hard time organizing work efficiently. We lost a couple of critically important people in our team, so it’s even harder for us these days. How long will it take them to figure it all out, ffs?

Most toxic work environment after last layoffs. It may be too late for some teams in GT by the time EH gets to it, if he ever does.
Very sad situation.

I don't really have a team, contractor at the LA photo studio. But the place is a mess after the layoffs. I hear a lot of people questioning if they want to keep accepting work here.

Come on, @2azd+1v0GEHFT...this is Nike, we all dress that way. What a strange thing to say.

As great as it was to see SB’s departure, IDSA still has a loooong way to go to becoming a high functioning and impactful org for the business and a galvanizing department for talent

IDSA is a shithole with leaders who know and care for nothing. If you are in their circle, you progress else sc--wed. What a mess!

My teams and teams around me are still feeling the gaps from the long timers that were let go. From knowledge to new operating models, it still feels messy and not good.
Sure EH is hopefully a better CEO, but will take a lot of change all over for it to “feel” better.
Will we keep making and selling footwear and apparel? Sure. Will it be fun? Probably not for awhile

IDSA does not try to support the business. The operating model is to not operate as part of the business anymore.

It's an absolute sh-tshow.

Our support team was offshored. Which means my team is now the first step in supporting ANY problem because the contracted support teams just forward everything our way.

Our smart product people jumped ship so we're directionless on that front too.

New team leader is in la la land and provides zero direction. People in the group doing whatever they want or nothing at all. Total mess and little hope of getting better anytime soon.

IDSA is useless and chaotic. Cr--s in a bucket mentality

Same, IDSA was left with leaders who didn’t have a backbone to challenge slumlord SB. Analytics is a hot mess with ever changing priorities and stakeholders.

No, my team is still missing key leadership people so we all make our own executive decisions for things that we might not even own after they find the new leaders.
