Amazon is bringing folks back to the office 5 days a week, starting next January to force people to leave. 🚩🚩🚩 Hope Charlie doesn't start doing the same. 😱

Yeah, they don't care at all about your office attendance unless they can use it to fire you for cause and not pay a severance. Otherwise it's irrelevant. At the end of the day, we all get downsized wether we coffee badge or Prudhomme it all weekend.
Before I got whacked, I used to show up at 5:30 AM, So I figure, I wouldn't have any issues.............
but, fortunately, the powers that be decided they would be better off without me.......
Cheers!
Wells will be back to 5 in the last stages of the layoffs. I already posted this before and I still think it will be the case.
@tux+1uy9s0Kw Morale is def a challenge. I’m hearing it from various folks I work with in different orgs and normally you wouldn’t hear a peep from these folks. With all the talent and knowledge walking out the door things are only going to become more of a mess. Yes. There’s talk of dead wood. But even the dead wood needs to be around to do any number of approvals or actual work. It would not surprise me one bit if we experience some black swan event in the next year.
I’m ready for a Tuesday send off and severance package.
We'll all fit in the remaining buildings very soon. Charlie won't buy more chairs, he-l just fire people until there's sufficient space. Then he'll start shutting down buildings and you'll get a meeting with your manager where she starts things off with "as you know, Wells Fargo is constantly analyzing our facilities and staffing to ensure they are meeting the needs of customers and shareholders. As a result, this hub will be closing on..."
Requests to relo will be denied. Applications for roles in surviving buildings will be circular filed.
That's how it ends folks. Shart is here to wind it down. I'm not sure how many tens of thousands need to be downsized for y'all to get it but it'll sink in eventually. There's 100k fewer Americans working at WF now vs when I started. I know where this is going. Just need my severance and I'm outta here. You will be too. Some of the kids posting here are shockingly naive. Shart's not "getting rid of dead wood". He doesn't even know who is or isn't, and he doesn't care. He'll come for you too. It's just a matter of time.
Scharf, Shart, or Sh#$. What's the difference?
I may just Scharf myself!!!
If someone assigns me to a toilet stall, I'm going to be VERY VERY upset!!!!
In 2017 my building was so short of space I was just given a spot on a long table with a lot of other workers.
They’ll just go to 5 days a week and let the scramble for desks commence. Those who arrive early will get a desk. However, if you leave it for a few minutes, such as to use the facilities, you may find your stuff dumped on the floor and someone else in your seat.
May the odds be ever in your favor!
@uit fits 4 if you turn it over.
WF has enough money to reconfigure floors and add chairs.
Not that I want RTO 5x but don’t underestimate the c-suite
@ath+1uy9s0Kw - so what if we're short seats? Maybe they will have us work two to a desk to facilitate even more collaboration.
This is a pointless thread and should be removed.
We are short several thousand seats for 5 day RTO.
They would have to make floor changes. Not enough desks in unassigned spaces to keep teams/divisions together

Don't even start this sh-t.
Don't talk about it.
