Says a lot about a company that the managers are asking if they can unionize! Lol. The answer is no, but any investor needs to be very worried.

If you’re a manager and you want to unionize you need to be looking for another career asap.

Vzw has made a huge mistake by going into Best Buy locations. This business decision did not work 10 years ago as Verizon closed all their kiosks in Circuit City, BJs locations, and PC Richard's in the NY metro area because of low numbers. The locations have I believe 2 employees with I believe, 4 of 5 locations having a mgr? And a certain amount of locations ( New York metro) have a GM? Why? Right there, there's too many managers for what the business produces, they never look at the recent history of failure in 3rd party kiosks run by VZW.
Expanding retail when retail locations are decreasing? In a saturated market in the wireless phone retail sector.? I won't even say anything about the guy who is GM in Best Buys in NY/NJ. One thing,he has used nepotism and has poor judgment in his past hiring of weak mgrs in his former GM position.

Managers cannot unionize. Only workers can unionize. You as a manager can secretly support your staff in organizing a union.

Potentially assistant managers could unionize if they make the case they are actually misclassified workers.

Essentially you’d have to convince the nlrb you’re a “shift lead” and not a manager/supervisor

I would pay a monthly due to not be harassed, put down and insulted daily by “leadership” . No actual leader needs to use fear and punishment. That motivates no one.

20 bil on a life raft for a sinking ship. Maybe saying the company as a whole is a debatable stretch but the wireless segment is down bad for sure.

A lot of that comes down to your senior manager. Personally I have a great SM that deflects a lot of the BS from trickling down. Guess what? We also make money and get paid on commissions, because the ams and reps aren't being flooded with too much noise. There is too much noise and redundancy, when stores and people should just be focused on people, process and getting paid. The three Ps. Company is down bad though. Sad to see.
