Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Colleague Voices Survey

What are you writing? What do you think they would even care about? Is this useless?

I was brutally honest and suggested things just keep getting worse.

Submitting colleague survey with negative, sarcastic, insulting, or overly positive comments may increase your chances of being considered for layoffs.

  1. Perception of Negativity: Consistently negative feedback can lead to a perception that you are not a team player or are overly critical, which might affect your professional relationships and reputation.
  1. Risk of Retaliation: In some cases, there might be a fear of retaliation or being singled out for layoffs if the feedback is perceived as overly negative or unconstructive.

Be extremely careful when participating in the “ANNONYMOUS” Colleague Engagement Survey. Your comments are not anonymous. They can track you from your Login Profile and IP Address.

It’s important to balance honesty with constructive feedback, focusing on solutions and improvements rather than just pointing out problems. This approach can help ensure your feedback is taken seriously and leads to positive changes.

They use AI to select negative comments and forward them to the Jen T. aka “Darth Vader.” Darth Vader is the one who selects who will be “AXED.”

The real question is will CVS release the results. And without candy coating them. I'm guessing that the majority of the responses will be negative.

How is this different from the survey from earlier this year? Are there 2 per year?

Hey - here is a wild thought, hear my out but it may be a little over the top for some of you, why not be honest? My team and manger are great, so I answered appropriately when the questions were about them. Some of the questions about CVS in general needs improvement so I answered appropriately on that.

I hope this suggestion isn’t crazy for some of you.

The Voices survey is not anonymous. It is merely confidential. Read the fine print on the 1st page of the survey.

Is it more effective to respond negatively to the survey or not to respond at all? Leaders seem content with low scores so long as participation is 100%.

Not worth complaining unless you want more work to lead a team to address problems. Then recommendations are ignored. Worthless.

A 100% survey response is a measure that indicates everyone took the survey. Period.
Productivity, retention of colleagues, and ensuring customer satisfaction are the measures of productivity. I quit working for CVS last year when I realized the executive team could not be forced to care about employee engagement because it requires consistent respect and appropriate rewards for colleagues, as well as values that include long-term vision instead of layoffs, shorting staffing hours, and chopping quality.

Everyone needs to band together and rip corporate to shreds on the engagement survey. Corporate likes to have 100% survey participation to make it look like employees like the job and are engaged. If everyone ripped corporate to shreds then they can't hide the truth.
