Thread regarding SAP layoffs

How do you mask a flatlining product?

First, announce a sweeping sales level “archetype change” during the 5x annual company layoff season noting ambiguous roles with no clarity for who actually keeps their job.

Second, quietly package-out and/or “whack” all senior leadership in the only market unit that can reliably sell your public offering. Sweep those win stories into the larger market unit that’s been largely incapable of moving the vast on-premise install base (already invested in hyperscalers). Demote T5’s to T4’s… T4’s to AE’s.

Third, wave a diversity flag everywhere possible to placate the media and draw attention away from newly implanted “leaders” with anemic sales experience (woot-woot). Look at the background for the people telling you how to sell …many have never “carried a bag” or sold software with any success. Let that sink in …

Fourth, use the (allegedly anonymous) pulse survey as a scalpel to strategically remove anyone that was d-mb enough to share their adverse opinion on L***d’s North American train-wreck. Avoid that shred of dignity that you feel welling when the Pulse survey hits. It’s a trap!

I’m out of the loop: what did Lloyd do? He’s “president of NA” but I always assumed that was president of Sales and not the actual region. Seems like a typical sales guy - all buzzwords and no respect for people unless they put money in his pockets.
