Why do they have external management consultants reporting into them? Is this hints of more layoffs to come as we know that Bain orchestrated these previous ones.

This grinds my gears. I was in a meeting and someone presenting mentioned how they used Bain for a VERY SIMPLE STRATEGY ANYONE DOING THE WORK COULD HAVE COME UP WITH AND MADE IT BETTER.
In my 11 years here and surviving CDO, CDA, and whatever the F phase this is, they always F things up instead of make it better.
I know this rant won’t change anything.
I don’t trust our leadership. I don’t trust VPs nor do I care to su-k up to them like some of you still do.

PHK ain't selling Nike to a PE firm. Nike has used mgmt consultants for years. Easier for leadership to lean on them to make tough decisions. If it fails, blame the consultants. If it succeeds, take the credit.
A sale to PE is on the table. That’s how the knight family cashes out and forces sale because they own all the class A stock and therefore majority of the board seats.
I thought we were in cost cutting mode? The last time I engaged on a project Bain was on, we were paying them north of a million. Guess it's cheaper than keeping people who actually know footwear and apparel to turn things around.
