Thread regarding CVS layoffs

WHAT??? DDAT Design Calls? Not so sure

Remember - DDAT does not stand for Gender - Equity - Inclusion or Gender Equality 101. It stands for > Digital - Data - Analytics - Technology. - If that is so, why does every single call revolve around the dangers of mis-gendering someone??

The laser focus we have on these calls in regards to race, gender neutrality, misgendering, gender neutral nouns, gender pronouns, saying the right thing, all genders getting period care, gender affirming signals, images of people that may or may not be a male/female. Where did all this come from? Why is this considered DDAT?

CVS has spent millions of dollars on making sure we don't assume peoples identity. How did we get here?

There are so many terms that they want everyone to follow, how can anyone be in the know at any one time? I get the attention given to Designing websites for people with disabilities; but the constant belaboring of non-binary identification or transgender etiquette is what encompasses the largest part of every meeting.

Nothing wrong with learning some new definitions that were created in the last few years.... until you realize that your ability to familiarize yourself and follow the definition has to be 100% precise. One wrong comment to someone, and you can kiss your job goodbye!!

Karen needs to start attending these DDAT Tech Talks. NOW

There is no way she is aware of how far WOKE these calls have become. We are literally talking about offering tamp-ns to dudes and ALT TEXT and images that are FULL WOKE friendly. Also, they will NOT give up on pushing the Sheeple Mask Agenda perpetuated by Chinese Scientist Fauci. They LOVE IT. They want everyone back in MASKS!!!

These NEEDS TO STOP! This is a full hijack of our company and Karen Ly--h needs involved. I have never seen this level of DEI Gender equality bulls*t.

I hope investors know. I plan to inform folks of this gaping DEI hole to anyone I see.

DEI is Marxist garbage and is destroying companies and society. It discriminates against white people and Jews. The focus on identity for a small percentage of the population that identifies differently than their biological s-x at birth is ridiculous. The number of all of the combinations of gender identities is worse than all the variations of coffee at Starbucks. It seems to be a fad to change gender identities to get “special” attention. It is all narcissistic and obsessively woke. Go woke, go broke.

Maybe Karen and her team are intentionally destroying the company for government takeover.

Oh no you poor things! I can’t imagine (checks notes) caring about other people and their identities. It’s not discrimination to encourage more representation. You’re not oppressed for being a white man. Nobody cares. If DEI is ruining your life, quit and go work for a racist company that shares your values.

Recent major corporations have announced a relaxing the DEI initiatives. Ford, Lowe's to name two. It is not working. Take current economic conditions and add this DEI bullsh-t and the results are not good. Hopefully we smarten up. Equal opportunity, yes, equal outcome impossible.

I consider myself as a DEI and a11y ally, and even I think a few people on that call are forcing us to border on being woke. Stopeped attending the calls now. Good points and relevant but can’t just have that as a topic of discussion.

I was on that design call. Putting in a little extra thought and effort to help the customer, member, patient makes perfect sense. And then we immediately go down some DEI rabbit hole. We waste so much time and money (HEALTH CARE PREMIUMS) on stupid sh*t.
