Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

No surprise that Verizon no longer does corruption training

My job after leaving Vz requires everyone to take bribery and corruption training. The hilarious thing is that the first example of consequences of corruption violations used in the training is the Ericsson corruption and bribery case that occurred while the Verizon CEO was there. The training mentions the over $1 billion in fines, but fails to mention that the CEO got sacked only to get a more lucrative position in the states.

2 separate things. But yes if they looked at what is going on over there a few would loose their jobs. It's been going on since the beginning.

JS got fired recently, but he left a big mess in IT, he was corrupt, unethical, manipulative and had a scheme in which he partner with consulting services that he would bring and get a big piece for being the enabler.

VZ Corp training is nothing more than a check box.
Survey's produce nothing, but leaders are told to put in an action plan that never occurs.
They have all-hands, AMA in the name of 'employee engagement', yet that happens once every 6 months.
Career planning, 'Forward', title changes....

Everything in done is to simply check a box. No substance.

Jay smith would approve charges of $400 an hour for some of his friends consulting services. This went on for years! He is laughing all the way to the bank now. He should be investigated by authorities
