My region leader accidentally left his phone on and unmuted after a Teams call for a long time still on after this call. There were many other people listening in on his typing, shuffling and personal phone call. It sounded like he received a call on his cell phone from a woman who used to work here, letting him know they were the subject of an investigation. It had to be the cell phone because his business line was still live on teams for all to hear. I find it disturbing how everyone at Truist coordinates behind the scenes to protect their own and their own interests with zero morals. How can an investigation be leaked out of that magnitude. It happened around late August and I bet if they pull his cell phone records they can validate this. If you aren’t in their circle, you’re nothing to them. I came in after the merger, I heard it was different before but I’ve never seen anything like this bank.

If true and you haven’t reported it - it’s not true story
Go read the Reporting Teammate Concerns site. You might be obligated to report what you overheard, which you can do anonymously. Otherwise you're complicit.
What??? This is crazy. So, he was on his cell talking to someone about people within Truist being under investigation? What other tea can you spill?
