Any word on rifs this week? It seems like people would be alerted this week since they normally give people a month notice and next month is the end of a quarter. Or will they wait for November?

Yes. I know. Simply because as a senior director I was asked for names on my team. Not to say that it will be widespread. This is for a GTS team.
@1emg+1ue9WpHA - Wow , so you know the exact date for RIF.
In my team, the plan is to do the RIF on Sep 18. Not a massive hit. Just fine tuning numbers for groups that did not meet the vSP target.
Probably October. Last year, layoffs were originally scheduled for Oct, but got pushed out to Nov.
Management was expecting VSP2.0 takers to be close to the VSP1.0 numbers, or else why would they do a VSP 2.0 (just to a regular layoff if the target number were low enough)? Unfortunately, looks like VSP2.0 takers are at least 50% fewer than that of VSP1.0’s. So, another RIF after VSP before 2024 year end? You bet!
Nothing buoys employee morale more than the biannual RIF.
Stores are empty because subscribers from the big 3 are waiting for the new I phone
Ladies and Gents, At&t stores are empty, tmobile stores are empty, and nobody is switching. The phone revenue is just way to low and IT costs way too much with over a million offsore contractors. The store can still function with paper and pencil.
I don't think they will wait until the last group leaves to RIF, it will happen sometime in Q$ as they want to get as many as they can OFF the books by 12.31.24.
Home for the holidays riffs coming followed by the baby new years riff
No RIF until Q4 , vani adapa in Value GtS lives to fight another day! Long overdue to send her home with a nice VSP or RIF package. After 20+ year tenure and absolutely no value
Unfortunately no, SDeloach in value GTS will continue to add NO value for the time being until sampath, vivek and hans get over their excitement from their trip to India.
Yes.
Of course no one knows, but a RIF will follow the VSP. My best guess, sometime after the last group leaves next year. Many will find out they should have pressed the button. OOPS!
