Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

How is the exit experience?

I got an offer I'm considering accepting, and now I'm mostly interested to know if there's an exit interview after you give your notice or not. There are so many things I'd have to say about the reasons for leaving and I wonder if I'll be given a chance to do so.

If you’re in product you get escorted out immediately so forget an interview!

Nope they could give two shi*s what u think. If you are not a VP your opinion means nothing to the cult leaders.

Not to necessarily contradict what other posters have stated, but I did an exit interview as an IC with our GT/HR person back in 2022 when I voluntarily left. Interviewer was interested in reasons why and if I had positive or negative feedback. I'm not sure if my manger or skip requested it or if it was just procedure at that time.

If your manager or skip level cares they may set up an informal exit interview to get your reflections on your experience at Nike, but nothing officially goes back to HR or ER. As mentioned, you get the mini survey where you can share where you're going and if you would work at Nike again. I imagine they use this info to stay up to date on hiring trends and Nike's competitiveness but it's likely not reflected back into actual changes to the employee experience that could keep more people from leaving. Remember to keep a copy of the Leaving Nike FAQ page for your own records. Good luck!

Nope. You get a mini survey in your inbox your last week. It’s about 10% of the length of the annual employee survey. “Would you consider working at Nike again?”

@qlh+1udBctCJ, I think that is HRs way of saying they don't do them because do they even know or care who the high performers are? Based on the reorg and the number of high performers we lost in our team, I would say that they have no clue.

You can ask for one but I was told when I asked for mine that it was typically done for "high" performers. 🙄

That’s something only real companies do. And even then it’s meaningless.

back in 2021, there was no exit interview when i willingly left the company for brighter pastures.

i heard that was standard at the time; they didn't think it was worthwhile to do exit interviews.

Don't quit - just stop going. See how long it takes to "correct" the glitch!
