She fits what Huntington is building out in the Carolinas. Her former boss is already there. They are cherry picking top talent from SunTruist and building a team. Eventually they buy a smaller bank with an existing branch network. I’m not sure if Brant was responsible for the plan, he wasn’t very impressive at BBT, but he is executing it. They are spending money to make money.

In another note a HBBT board member resigned yesterday effective 8/31 due to health reasons. Bill can put another of his people in place.
Now I KNOW this is a sinking ship. Allison was so inspirational and professional. All the good ones are gone.
People, this is a large company with multiple divisions. How about identify where someone works and without all the letters that most don’t know unless you are in that division.

Who is investigating, internal, the feds? Multiple EL being investigated? There are 24 (or was) and everyone in the banking world knows there are only four making decisions, Bill, Beau, Mike and Joe. Are they being investigated ? The head of retail falls on the sword? Color me skeptical of this comment.
From my understanding, according to those with knowledge around the facts. She left during multiple pending investigations surrounding her and other EL on how the bank is being ran business practice wise. She was named in direct control of multiple facets that was focused on whether they are executed in an ethical manner. She must have taken the fall for the others named in the investigation because she’s HBBT.
Color me surprised, another former Suntrust exec is named interim, shocking I tell you, just shocking!

But I digress — she was life-long in retail. We don’t even care at the CCB level so I dunno why anyone would think we care about retail.
As the below comment points out we’re an investment bank now. The only purpose branch/retail serves is as a deposit base pretty much. C-suite doesn’t care as long as deposits aren’t falling off a cliff entirely. And we’re definitely not trying to ‘grow’ that segment..
