Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Tear down the executive culture

@union, @lvl1, lvl2 look out for each other

Don’t look out for level 3’s and up. They are under crippling orders to not look out for you.

Change the culture. A workforce that is ineffective together isn’t a reflection on individuals, it’s a reflection on executive leadership. Change their culture. It’s your future

In case you have not noticed, this page is for ATT employees looking at layoffs and downsizing. You are preaching to the choir and the employees have enough of their own grievances with ATT and dont need to hear about yours. What did you expect the employees to do, many of them are hanging on to their jobs by a thread. Take your grievances as a customer elsewhere.

Put a cork in it already. The managers went to college, graduated and have ambition and goals. Some may have Master’s degrees too. Don’t be mad at them for trying to do better. At least they are working while you’re outside in the heat.

Just contract all of the Union work for construction and installation. Keep repair and splicing in house. A lot less union people will be around and your have less people complaining about the cr-p they get from working as a wire tech.

1st and 2nd levels should be required to do the job with us then fight the uppers to help us the other 4 days a week. Yes men are not helpful when we have broken processes.

Contract 1 and 2 level management to lead crews. That way union crews cannot take advantage of 1st and 2nd level managers.

Just place Artificial Intelligence to do training, timesheets, schedules, and vacation time and let C Suite do the rest of the delegating. Would save ATT hundreds of millions in salaries and bonuses.

Yet another call to rise up coming from a low level malcontent with no other voice in corporate operations

I get what the OP is saying here. Reduce productivity together. I'd say figure out who your lowest performer is and perform just like them, but as a team. Point out all risks, miss deliverables, bring it to a slow crawl. Stop joining town halls and all-hands. Quit taking survey's. I mean, you'll find out sooner or later, right? Get PLE done and make sure your time card is right.

Level 2 management here! I have few GREAT coworkers / friends that are crafts or union. We do look out for each other. How? Let’s start with respecting each other, transparency, and hearing them out! People want to be heard and valued. I have worked for a great leader. Learned a lot from him on how to lead a successful team without being a jerk and you’re right, it starts with upper leadership. Cut the bullcr-p and own your words! We “prioritize” our employees safety and wellbeing and bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla. STFU already and be accountable and responsible.
