Situation with my team is really horrible. They took on some clueless new people that do not contribute in any significant way. The rest of us have been here for a while, we all know our strengths, weaknesses and skills, and yet what mgmt does is to overburden some people with tasks they are ill-suited for, while some with very specific skills twiddle their thumbs or are tasked with something completely outside their scope. In majority of cases it’s not a consequence of office politics but purely of incompetent mgmt. They are not even trying to figure out their team. It’s beyond frustrating.
