So, the 5-day RTO is coming back soon, and after a recent meeting I was in, it feels like there's more going on behind the scenes than they're letting on. The messaging about "collaboration" and "culture" feels like smoke and mirrors. The real strategy? They want people to quit.
Instead of taking responsibility for the burnout and shifting work culture, it looks like the firm is quietly pushing employees out the door by forcing them back into a rigid, outdated model. It’s almost as if they’re banking on attrition to solve problems they don’t want to address.
Is this a calculated move to thin the ranks without having to make layoffs? What’s really going on here?
Would love to hear from others who are seeing similar patterns. Are we witnessing a strategic exit plan disguised as a return to the office?
