Why are there like 23,000 open jobs ? Are these just all fake jobs ? Also wanted to get people's opinion. If someone who was laid off, should try to get another internal job or only look outside of CVS ?

It pays to post jobs. There are government employment programs. You get paid to hire Veterans.
Hypothetically what would happen if someone were to flood these job postings with AI generated resumes?
As an HR professional, I can say that while the postings may have been real at onec time, most are ghost jobs.. there is no benefit to the stockholders when we don't look like we are actively growing.. it's a sham designed to male it appear like senior execs have a hold on the situation.. they do not. They never did.
The majority of the jobs are in retail, pharmacy and distribution centers. Those are low paying jobs with very high turn over. There are very few corporate jobs on the Jobs Hub.

I have heard the same. Aetna/CVS does not want you back. Once again the only people I know that could transfer/stay knew someone or had some assistance. I think that’s what really confirms in my mind, they are ghost jobs.
I was laid off 2020 and came back nine months later. The LD and I worked with each other in the past and that's the only reason I think I got back in. The 2nd time I am still trying. I've applied to a dozen and out of the dozen only two interviews. The interviewer pressured me so hard to find out why the gap. For the first interview I said I was affected by the layoffs. Very next day they closed my app and didn't give a reason. So, the 2nd interview I just said the position had changed. They closed my app a week later with feedback. The position is still open. It's pretty much damn if you tell the truth and damn if you do. If you are trying to transfer good luck but that's not going to happen fast enough.
Yes the jobs are absolutely bogus and have been for a year that I know of. You know why.....your President has to make it look like there's millions of jobs. There's not. Many of my friends that got laid off last year applied to tons over 6 months nothing panned out. Protest outsourcing.
Omg the way this page changes your wording/spelling. Gotta love AI… not.
I think many will never be filled. A lot of chatter on LinkedIn, states that its to make the company look healthy and hiring. But wait, you’ve laid off greater than 7000 employees over the last year. Make it make sense…
Anyway, I was let go last year in August. I did try to find another position within Aetna, but everything I applied for, later came back that the requisition was not being filled. I actually just gave up and found some thing with another organization.
Someone mentioned on another thread about others that were laid off eventually finding a position internally. I only know two people that were able to stay. Their manager personally net worked for them to get said position.
I’ve been laid off before. That organization trade very hard to place us internally. As a matter of fact, I was offered a position but turned it down to come to Aetna. Isn’t that ironic.
