Has anybody heard of any rumors of Cigna merger with Humana again? The only one I found was in a October 2nd from the Wall Street journal.

@rjb+1uPt7YSQ poor results are exactly what could lead Cigna to the buyers table. Sure Humana products su-k but they have over 6million members. That would put Cigna into the very good position compared to United. Remember every stupid decision and misstep reduces the value Humana has for Cigna. The price just gets better and better.
The legal battle with CMS could take more than half a year. Elevance appealed 2024 star rating last year and won in June this year, which is only for their plans for Georgia. I think Humana's case would take longer due to the larger impact.
I don't think Cigna would want to buy Humana at this moment. Big risk if Humana fails the appeal of star ratings.
