Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Mentally Spent

Everyone who wasn’t laid off is feeling mentally spent. Losing long-time colleagues is devastating and emotionally taxing, and we’re somehow supposed to continue on like nothing has happened. As a person, I just can’t.

Management is walking on thin ice, and morale just took an even worse turn. By all means, split the company in half—we’re already as divided as the country is with the upcoming elections. We’ve never politically meshed well, and these decisions only deepen that divide.

Most people are not on antidepressants or anxiety dr-gs. Normal people don’t have therapists. They go to a bars and to dispensaries.

I am so over everything working like a dog 12 hours days with no direction and no one running the show.

OP - why do you use everyone? I’m not mentally spent. I’ve been through things like this before. I am empathetic but I am also resilient.

Speak for yourself.

I love how it’s assumed that people are choosing to stay in that toxicity. They are doing their best to get as much done with what they have to work with (which is next to nothing at CVS) and actively looking for something else. Funny you assume everyone stuck working there is a cashier. There are other jobs and they also su-k just as bad as the pharmacy or front store jobs when you work for CVS.

Interesting post in here “ Most CVS employees are on anxiety and antidepressants dr-gs when there isn’t layoffs anyways.”. First, most of the world is on anti anxiety and anti depressants. I wouldn’t say poking fun of someone’s mental health is appropriate for this thread. Honestly, grow up.

Don’t like your job then quit! Stop wasting your time reading the garbage on this site posted by other losers. Use that time and look for a job you like. Seriously why are you hanging around infecting the place. That is what is wrong with CVS, it’s filled with bottom feeders that waste time posting on sites like this thinking anyone gives a cr-p about their whining. You’re here because you su-k at your job, you’re helpless and you need to spend time around other losers and none of these opinions matter. So hurry up, run to the 7-11 and fill out that application before someone else takes that cashier job you deserve and are qualified for.

Exactly! If you speak up and say how you really feel about the situation, you will be in the next round.

I agree. Today was really hard to get through and focus. And I’m tired of the “you’re just lucky not to be impacted” conversations. Survivor’s guilt is real. Our leadership asked in a group meeting today how everyone was feeling and I was just like, what do you want us to say to that?!
