Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Honestly not catastrophic

Everyone take a deep breath and relax -
it’s not great bc we get money based on stars ratings but it’s not just us that dropped bc they changed the criteria.
Stars ratings also are not going to affect the company tomorrow. If you are seriously worried about your job, you’ll more than likely start seeing the effects mid next year/early 2026. You have time to pivot if you need to. Relax, keep doing what you need to to protect yourself and don’t fear monger. It’ll be alright.

While we may not see any immediate big lay offs prior to year’s end, AEP will shape the landscape as it does every year. With commercial winding down, Medicare cutting rates, AEP resulting in possible loss of membership and lower STARs ratings, 2025 will surely be interesting.

I think the point is members are fleeing our plans at a level not seen since Moses left Egypt

Isn't this going to affect AEP for this year? Why would anyone want to sign up for any of our plans when their ratings have gone down (And it's sounding like AEP is already going to be rough)? I think this is just going to snowball to a lot of unfortunate results.
