It is very clear that many of the smart people that provided great value but came from Aetna are getting impacted. These people are supposedly in corporate/shared service roles.
Yet a lot of the weak "CVS royalty" gets to stay and continue their legacy of nonsense.
The people staying are the ones that are causing the culture to be horrible and are the ones causing the company to fail.

Aetna was a great company before cvs bought them. It was supposed to be a great merger. But cvs having no clue on how to run a health insurance company is driving them into the ground. Karen was a silent president then and Bertolini ran the company. It was a big mistake for CVS to name karen president when merlo stepped down

Aetna was always a garbage company. That’s why a retail chain was able to buy them.
LMAO. Aetna was the reason for our Q2 under performance. Karen fired the head of Aetna over it. We didn't have these problems at CVS until Aetna was bought. So wishful thinking that CVS is to blame for this mess. I mean seriously, how the heck does Aetna under estimate the amount of claims for the year so bad. You all just sat there rolling in money during COVID when nobody could do anything but you spent the money and are shocked now that people are getting medical care. That just shows the ridiculousness of Aetna leadership!
I could not disagree more. There were some of the most hard working and loyal employees let go yesterday. People who stood the test of time and worked their way up from the bottom that were let go. It is so disheartening. I am heartbroken for my peers.

Probably even worse in DDAT/Infrastructure/Security where the leadership has gotten severely weak and overrun by the CVS Royalty or ridiculous new hires from insignificant industries.
