Things are much worse than expected. Massive layoff is coming.

@2zxp+1uNFbzzx I also have shared multiple times that this score is not an imminent threat that everyone loves to believe and got -18 downvotes. It’s comical that these people love to live in agony and fear and not reality.
Interesting how I share accurate information that no plan for layoffs or AIP changes as a mid-to-upper leader but my comment has been downvoted to -4. Believe what you want but this was a place for productive discussion on confirming layoff information. Now most posts are filled with fear mongering, inaccurate information, us verses them leadership bashing, and conspiracy theories. Consider me out as a source of any information after this comment. Good luck to you all.
@ksg+1uNFbzzx CMS hasn’t officially released any STARs ratings to my knowledge.
I’m laying all of you off. I’m jim.
The movie with Ryan Gosling??
Fall guy
How did other MA companies fare in comparison? Was it just Humana that took this hit?
How can this be a shock? There is a feed in Viva Engage under All Company, a Humana employee indicates her dad's Max OOP went from $2,000 in 2024 to $9,350 in 2025. If we are not competitive in the market with the advantage plans we are offering, how can we expect to sell them? And I do agree the sky is falling, if our senior members cannot afford the plans, they are going elsewhere so no shocker enrollment was reduced to 24%. Medicare is all we have now, so this is a no brainer titanic moment.
The sky is not falling. Meetings across Humana this morning confirmed there are no layoffs related to today's STAR rating news. The financial impact will be felt in late 2025 and 2026. The AIP payout remains the same from the Associate Communication email sent in late August and will not be reduced due to STAR ratings or stock price, but it could be impacted if AEP goals aren't met. Your leaders should provide similar updates today. I learned that there are options to challenge the CMS STAR ratings, with competitors having done so successfully in the past. Legal action is also an option.
For those of us who have left - what was the email content?
This is TRULY BAD news. Those of us that have a clue knew this was a possibility but faced all kind of negativity when we voiced concerns on this forum. Combine this with AEP likely tanking and reduced payments next year, the implosion has begun.
When have we ever heard leadership admit to being "very disappointed" in numbers? Not a shred of positivity, only "we're going to work on it." This is bad.
I get that people want to stay positive but this IS a "the sky is falling" moment. Might I remind you that medicare advantage is all we do now? We dropped from 94% to 25% on our four star plans. That is positively catastrophic. Be honest with yourselves and prepare for the worst.
Well with the stock down 15% today, there is gossip on Wall Street that the Cigna humana deal could be back in action, though i reckon not anytime soon.
Bruh do us a favor and lay yourself off
Wth is wrong with this MGMT. Hits keep coming. This MGMT is asleep at the wheel.
Stock down 16 percent. We're so fu---n cooked bros
Layoffs are almost a sure bet. If you don’t have enrollment, you can’t make payroll. Simple math.
We are literally a skeleton crew already with tons of work to get done. They’re not going to lay off the whole company.
Not sure that layoffs are the answer here, the STARS rating impact won’t be felt until mid 2025 or early 2026.
I don't think so. Layoffs aren't usually Humana's first lever to pull after a temporary stock drop. The company still needs employees to get the work done, and many teams are still stretched thin with reduced staff. They're not likely to gut the workforce more just because of a dip in stock price. That leads to more employees leaving. We haven't seen how AEP will turn out and I know the STARs news will hit hard. Personally I believe we will see another shift in Humana's strategy instead. Will have investment projects halted and others accelerated. Plus, layoffs won't address Humana's long term core problems with stockholders.
