With the magnitude of these layoffs, each department should be made aware if they will be affected or not. We shouldn't have to wait each day to see if we're part of a mass layoff as often as these are occurring. Not to mention, if we didn't read about it here many of us wouldn't have even known until we saw an invite or an email. My department has been completely silent.

There isn’t any communication at CVS. The store managers and pharmacists in the same stores don’t even talk to each other.
But if they sent out communications, that would take away the fun of trying to figure out who got eliminated, and who’s going to do their job now that they’re gone.
Agreed. I had to bring it up to my boss. I decided I would take the information that was shared by my boss with my team. I don’t know if it helped but I don’t want to have them see it and I’m not available and they get into an all out panic.
I don’t think my boss had any intention of saying anything. As a matter of fact, my boss replied that I could share what they shared with me IF ANYONE ON MY TEAM MENTIONED IT.
Perhaps some people impacted may not have been able to be reached on the planned date (PTO etc.) and they have yet to be notified… don’t want to say “it’s all done” to an audience that includes someone that it’s actually not all done.
They should do it as fast and consolidated as possible but execution won’t always be perfect for reasons outside of control.
If there's silence, it means your management isn't paying attention or are jerks that don't feel the need to reassure their people. My direct manager brought it up on Monday and told us what they knew about it, the same day the news was posted quietly by CVS on Heartbeat. The level above them brought it up in a meeting the next day. I had heard that VPs were under NDAs about it - they may not legally be able to say anything until after this week is done. CVS overall is to blame for the poor communication here.
