Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Tech / Finance

All of Tech , as a support function,, will be out sourced as of 01.2025. Remaining in house functions will have the hands, minds and all other resources they need for the turn around that is coming. The dis function of Tech is a distraction and not delivering results - it’s a money pit.

Our CEO could have been traded with Boeing's and no one would have noticed a difference in their savings plans. Thank god we don't sell airplanes. Our dysfunction results in a pair of soles falling off instead of a few hundred souls falling out of the sky.

That is to say. Once you cut costs far enough the company starts bleeding profit.

Be honest, IT is far too Indian. They are cheap and useless so Nike worships them like the cows they worship.

The dysfunction is because it’s 90% (or more) outsourced already. You don’t get better/smarter by being more stupid. Doesn’t take a braniac to figure out that if you hire dipsh-ts you get cr-ppy results. Expect better. Be better. Hire better … and it matters not one fu--ing iota where they’re from … but if hire folks where any random 12 yr old pulled off the street is smarter and more capable than them - then stop fu--ing complaining when the results are sh---y.

I heard JonDon is starting an IT consulting firm and will take over all of the tech staffing and RL will be the resource manager.

I know the exact opposite. Nike is moving away from ETWs for tech by the end of this calendar year and increasing FTE headcount.
