Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Layoffs have been officially announced

Logged onto the home page and Brian Henry (SVp corp communications) had posted an article “ensuring our continued competitiveness”

In it, he states ~1% workforce reduction.

It was posted at 7AM today (est)

Good luck to those who want and congrats to those who are jumping ship.

Intentionally vague is always the purpose, so assume the worst: 1% of 300,000 is the total reduction (3,000).

this wording is confusing “the company will be reducing roles representing less than 1% of our workforce.” Unless it’s intentionally vague

It says in the article that retail store colleagues specifically will not be impacted. So I’m assuming just 3,000 corporate/field leadership positions.

1% of non customer facing. So like 300 out of 30k

1% = 3,000

That would make it 3000 if our number is indeed 300k employees.

1% of how many? There's around 300,000 employees including retail. That would only be 300 employees. So 1% of what number
