It’s bizarre that the official announcement of close to 3,000 layoffs was just casually mentioned in an article on Heartbeat with no direct email communication from KL or any other executives regarding it.

Is there any remote possibility that she has been removed as CEO and it just hasn’t been announced publicly yet?
Blows my mind that last year we get an email and this year.. HEARTBEAT? Disguised as one of those typical Monday morning articles. Sh---y sh---y sh---y.
I saw it around 11am Eastern and my boss (a director) had just found out about it himself.
Per latest news on strategic review, we may not have some of these a ELT members by end of week. This is messed up. Just when you think it can’t get worse.
No reference in article of strategic review to ELT changes but what else to interpret.
Posted on the intranet by an SVP (who of course works remotely) of Corporate Communications. The silence from the ELT is deafening, although it is a nice change of pace from the b****it were fed on a daily basis
I wonder because everyone who has posted so far are exempt employees that those that are under the 58k will be let go so don’t have to give them a raise due to the DOL increase 1/1 and can’t make a manager hourly … I am under 58k so that is what has me concerned
This is a horrible place to work. I would drive past 2 cvs’s to get to another pharmacy. I wonder if these clowns realize each time they do these layoffs they lose customers (we they treat like garbage and their entire family.
With how they are conducting layoffs and the incompetence, there’s definitely gonna be more rounds. No more trust
It’s so incredibly cowardly. We have a CEO and a new HR leader, but instead it was buried on our intranet, posted by someone who isn’t even on the ELT. We know they’re always dodging accountability but this was a new low.

Yes it weird that KL sent no communications. I think they want to record some layoff savings/expenses for Q3 ( sep 30th being last day ) and some in q4 ( starting tomorrow)
Amazing this place gets worse everyday. I thought this leadership team hit rock bottom but I guess they just started digging. All Executive directors need to be fired. Can’t be the employer of choice if they stay in place. No trust.
Yes! I 1000% agree! I feel like no one even knew about it until the rumor mill started! Such a weird and un compassionate thing to do.
The ELT has proven now with 2 layoffs they can’t be real leaders.
What SHOULD always happen in a layoff is 100% of the layoffs happen in a matter of a few hours (say 8-12 then at 12 announce company wide that layoffs have happened, the percentage and then all that BS about how heart at work matters.
That’s how combatant and compassionate leadership would do the layoffs….instead we have Karen who botches 2 in a row.
