Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Are layoffs in October likely to happen?

I’m hearing more people speculating about it. Anyone know more?

Wait. So the SEALs are the "oops my company's cheap contractors royally sc--wed up, let me fix this before you drop us as a vendor or sue us for lost revenue" team?

Probably won’t need them as plenty of people are leaving on their own and not being replaced.

@2nch+1uK7Tj0V you don't know me. I know and hear a lot from pretty much living on the 5th floor.

February or March if it happens. After holiday.

No SEAL is aware of layoff strategies. You just heard a term and used it to add credibility. This isn’t happening. Maybe a 2025 restructure once EH ramps on the direct side and some of the ELT next in line realize it won’t be them and leave. Outside of that, no immediate plans.

I am a SEAL and in the know...layoffs are happening. Get rid of dead weight in GT.

Black Friday is a HUGE deal for the company. It would be the height of folly to start pulling out cogs right before then, to say nothing about the effects on company morale. Now... Christmas layoffs? Maybe, it's been done before.

No. Large scale layoffs take time to plan, and there’s no way it’s EH’s first priority. I’m sure restructuring will take place eventually as EH begins to transform the organization to fit his vision, but large scale layoffs will be off the table for a long while.
