Thread regarding CVS layoffs

CVS needs structural change

As someone pointed out on this board before. Wholesale layoffs solve none of the problems, they are barely a patch that lasts for a while. However, I don’t think leadership wants the company to prosper. They just want themselves to prosper for as long as they are here and to extract as much money for themselves and shareholders as they can. Nothing else matters. If there is no CVS in the end, nobody at top cares.

This is it. I don't think for a minute there are aspirations beyond that. And to that end, everyone is replaceable. Wholesale layoffs usually happen in conjunction with reorganizations touted as a smarter and more efficient design. Leaders don't believe that. They're just doing it to buy another year until the next round.

Thats because management is only the puppet..its the hedge funds and activist investors who are the string pullers.
And they do not care how they get their return.
Look at almost each of the companies kicking off mass layoffs..most are profitable but not profitable ENOUGH for these people.

I sure hope all of you blaming KL realize that sure she can get booted or you can leave but these bottom dwellers are all over the economy.
