SAP will continue to layoff employees in the U.S. and in European in countries with no works councils. They love the increase in share price without having to invest in a new product or service. Look at the incredible increase over the last year - and it’s not from AI. The management will hold onto their roles with both hands while the workers get shown the door. Why not - it’s all for their benefit…oh and the shareholders.

every all hands I hear the same question being asked "are there any layoffs planned in 2025". Will you grow up people, do you really think they will announce it during all hands, months ahead?!

Layoffs will be an annual thing now. Funny, I remember when McDermott was running the place and all of the Germans were freaking out, complaining that "SAP will become an American company" (like any of you German clowns would last a minute at an American company).

Guess what... the Germans have made SAP an American company... Layoff central.

Congratulations. You clowns got exactly what you deserve.

P2025 sounds like "Project 2025." If that's what you mean then you should add some details instead of just pushing propaganda.

You communicate like management.

I hear that Lloyd is now pushing VP’s to only allow discounts for on-premise deals with a cloud contract running (and closing) in parallel. Specifically for the public solution.

Then he fires the VP for handing him churn

Sap smelled the blood of stock price growth like other big tech , and now viciously turning the company to shareholder focus. Rise and BtP providing the top line growth and will continue that trajectory for the next few quarters. However the problem is in the net margin which still shows sap js not well managed and inefficient compare to its peers. So the quick fix will always be layoff. But sap need to demonstrate layoff is improving net margins. All transformations/restructuring should aim to improve net margins but may take long time. So I believe SAP will get a year or two to improve the margin otherwise market will rotate out of sap stock , it’ll crash and off course CeO will be out.

Well. We already know that the 2024 layoffs are going to stretch into Q1 2025. We also know that the total number affected for that round were sneakily increased from 8K -10K.

Roll into the equation that SAP in investing in “Medium - cost locations” (Shout out to CK for that particular piece of double-speak phraseology), and we can safely assume that CK and Alam will announce a further (Insert your favorite euphemism for kicking people to the curb here). Why wouldn’t they? It is a minimal effort and low risk (For them) method of increasing the share price.

Combine this with another buyback and they’ll make more fistfuls of cash in share price -related compensation. Bonus for them is that they can do all of this without having to actually develop a new product or service.

My only other prediction for 2025 is that there will be a “mutual agreement” between the supervisory board and CK for him to leave (Missing from the announcement will be that CK will be made whole for the remaining conpensation on his contract).

It all pretty much su-ks.
