There's a silent exodus happening, and I'm sure it's not over yet. We’re losing some real talent. More departures are bound to come, and it's honestly concerning to see how little those who are supposed to be managing this place care about this. This is not good for the company, but nobody cares.

Don’t be so hard on everyone. My spouse is a VP at another company and has been drinking incessantly because she has to cut 14-24% of her 240 employees. These are people we know from holiday parties and many of them live in our very small city. At least 10 kids go to our kids high school.
Many of these people will never get employment again. The company will be bringing consultants to do the actual layoff but we know we will never be looked at the same regardless how much severance is paid.
You’re right- good people are leaving. They’re either forced out because there’s no opportunity to advance or they're asked to leave. Don’t believe these early or voluntary announcements! None of these people are old enough to retire and we will see them working other places in the next year or so. Yes, they’re giving packages, some better than others, but these are good people and deserve it as anyone with years of tenure and accomplishment at Humana!
We’ve been making the best out of a bad situation for too long now. Something has got to give. The pay they get away with is reason enough to make anyone look for something else.
They care. They are just trying to keep their own jobs. The market is tough right now and everyone needs to decide what’s best for them. The grass isn’t necessarily greener on the other side so make the best of what you can and stop complaining.
