Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

How many teams have AI in their titling or stated focus?

And are there too many? Too many all trying pose as building se-y cost cutting things that are just vaporware cost centers? Seems like a good area to consolidate and cut. Then cut some more.

Other than purchasing something (like copilot), most of what we'll create with AI will be smoke and mirrors. And somebody will sell the sht out of it like it's a cure for cancer. I've used Fargo a few times and it's pretty much useless. We can't even get our act together on pretty standard, mainstream tech and we expect to do a good job on AI stuff? And fyi-- every ai model has to go thru a bunch of governance. Good luck getting anything done in a reasonable amount of time. and of course TK owns GenAI, so you know that's going to be a cluster fck.

Its good stuff to have on the resume. How is "fargo" working out for the bank?
AI will play an increasing role in the bank. Most of the AI will be based in San Francisco why the rest of the bank's workers keeps its lights on.

AI, Automation, Agile. For those of us on the ground level keeping this sh1t place working.
All 3 words are just rebranding for Zero deliverables, or garbage that needs to be sh1t canned. But they do get a Technical Director their next promotion.
Followed by a re-org so that the Director can move away before it's discovered the product is garbage.
