Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Calling it a “next stage of growth” might be a bit too much

How about digging us out of the hole first? Then come up with the actual growth strategy, not some stock value boosting scheme, Also, next layoffs - try not to cut people wholesale and put some effort into selection which will allow for talented and competent people to actually stay in Nike. I mean, it would be useful if growth is in the cards. I’m not convinced, anyway.

I am blown away at you people. Do you know what Phil knight has done for Portland, sports, the world, cancer on and on.

Ungrateful is all I think. He owns you all in some way. He’s wronged you in some way by trying to create a company you would like to work at. I hope EH weeds out everyone who isn’t ready to bring this place back to a culture of winning

CEO replacement is a start but next we must look at the rest of the C-suite. And after that, leaders below that level. And so on. Too many inadequate people occupying the wrong roles.
