they have stated multiple times they are planning to reduce the US workforce by 40% - offshoring the majority of those jobs.
how this isn't all over the news is wild.

Layoff is an ongoing process. If anyone has not much to do and have a lot of time for youtube and other social media at work, then assume that the gravy time will not last. Plan accordingly and stop complaining. Keep updating your skills, resume and always scan the environment for better opportunities. We live in times where loyalty or hard work or how smart you are does not matter. In short, ability has nothing to do with your position, job or company. Just look around and correlate it to what I am saying. They are going to layoff but then they will also hire after consolidating positions. I think the digital transformation area is full of unproductive redundant head counts under the umbrella of "Agile work force." They can save a lot of money in that space . Expect layoffs and plan accordingly on an ongoing basis. My 2 cents.
