And that my friends is what happens when you scrape the bottom of the barrel. Deployed, what a joke.

That’s weird seeing there’s people on my team who live in the southeast but haven’t been called yet. What did I expect though? For it to make sense? lol.

Likely skills related. They need techs not power point experts. I was a tech half my career and can read a word doc. I’m the most qualified. Haha

It is not dangerous sitting in the office. The training did not teach us anything. I have not touched a wire or a fiber in 12 years since ATT moved all the training to virtual or video. So, even if we are deployed we will not see any sunshine unless we leave the office for lunch.

CP09 was a cakewalk. Back then, people driving by a work truck would slow down as they went around. Now, the Amazon driver who is driving while stoned and watching Tik-Tok will clip you, then pull a pi---l on you and take you out so they don’t lose their job. It’s dangerous out there pals. Keep an open eye. Stay safe.

"No job is so important and no service so urgent that we cannot take time to perform our work safely and in an environmentally responsible manner"

Unfortunately, that was a BellSouth line. SWB/Pac Bell does not give a rat's a-s about their employees.

We warned several CP managers about the life threatening dangers but some of them thinks it’s Disney World out there. Hopefully this spreads throughout the managers ranks before someone gets seriously hurt or worse. Those strands are tensioned tight with a lot of weight on them, one can lose their life instantly when a pole breaks. No Joke!!

There was some managers seen going into a manhole without a gas tester to pull a fiber out, also a serious life threatening event. If there is gas or low oxygen, they can go unconscious before climbing back up the ladder. The company is putting untrained managers into really dangerous environments. Unfortunately no pictures were taken so, it won’t be believed. We don't want any fatalities, not worth it!

One of the worst thing I've witnessed is to watch a man go into a low oxygen environment and see him collapse. The second worst thing is to see your coworker go down the ladder to try to save him.
The first man we could not save, the second man, the FD got him out too early. He would been better off passing that day vs the vegetable that he became after being "rescued".

You won’t die. Just maimed, maybe loose a piece of limb. It’s ok. Thank you for your service. My internet is working now.

Be careful. A SE manager almost met their maker today when a pole snapped. Pictures are everywhere online. Super lucky..

At least you won’t have to RTO for a little while. Now it’s RTP (Return To Pole). See you up here!

Is this employees who have a union position but not part of the union? Yeah!! I hope so. If we are forced to go back, or get fired then we are doing what we are told. If the insurance is too high, I can always go on my wife’s benefits.
