Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Re: autumn layoffs rumors

Ofc there will be more. Do you see Nike turning around with these people in charge? I don’t. After so many competent people being laid off or leaving on their own? It’s not going to happen. What’s left for the clueless leadership to do in order to show they are busy and restructuring towards a prosperous company? More layoffs. They’ve already shown it’s their only specialty.

@2ibh+1u9ySw5s Sarcasm clearly didn’t translate. I already know people who were rehired who were laid off, meaning Nike just lost a ton of $ on recruiting and severance costs to give ppl a free vacation.

Oh pls @1dsf+1u9ySw5s. Clearly you haven’t been at Nike to know the vicious cycle of layoffs. They are also known rolling layoffs. But, this time is different, they are finding that they need those people that did the work of 2 or 3 others. Try replacing them with a temp, fresh out of college or inexperienced workers…..that’s why exited roles are being posted again - see an end in sight?

You really think these hundreds of job postings are happening before layoffs?

The 2 billion has been delivered. Those execs and s bands cut were expensive. The only cut that needs to made is jd himself. The captain that drove the boat on the reef is next. The Wall Street funds are here to do that. They want revenue growth not cost savings.

Source on October layoffs?

ETW layoffs largely happened in August, after the FTEs. Slightly later timeline.

If you can’t provide a credible source for these claims, this just sounds like fearmongering…

I’m pi---d off at this company and leadership right now as well, but let’s try to avoid false claims. It takes credibility away from the other information being shared on this site.

Nike is bloated with $2 billion savings promised to the Wal Street overlords, there will be non stop layoffs followed by larger 1,000 - 2,000 people sent to the unemployment line in October.
