Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

SE Network has never been better maintained than it is now...

Management is handling the workload very very well. The real troubles begin when the union workers come back.

"use the N word"

Non-productive? Yeah, that's not good.

Management is soo cool. Had one that would use the N word to the crew and the company admitted it. Still in management with no repercussions. Isn't that cool? I want to work for a low class company so I can feel important.

C-suite take note, this manager is admitting they have a lot of extra time on their hands to do more work. I thought at first managers posting about Costco runs, picking up kids, watching grandkids etc.. during the day was just gaslighting. It now appears that it was true so, you may want to look into increasing managements scope of work after the strike.

If they have time to handle their workload and bargained’s too then, obviously they are underworked. You have been overpaying them because craft work is a full time position for skilled technicians. I’m guessing that’s why so many either don’t show up or if they do, leave early to go home while craft is being forced to complete orders or repairs, late into the afternoon.

Finally! Repairs done RIGHT!
Now if we can just get some experienced subcontractors for us to train properly! I know ATT would reward us with better insurance and stock options and better job security. My shares would soar in the face of such excellence and awesomeness. Union slugs aren't pi-ples on our superior posteriors.

Haha! Managers are handling the network “very very well”, this person is lying. Our CP managers told us they are ready for us to come back, today. They have told us that they are writing down the locations they have worked on because they know it is temporary and will dispatch us to repair correctly and do a quality job, when we return. It’s taking managers days to make repairs that take us hours and we do a quality permanent job, not temp like they are doing.

The most frustrating part is getting a repair order that can't be completed without first correcting 6 previous repairs that were not done properly. Every freaking day this week. Fortunately the guy I am with has the patience of Job and is quick to lend a hand.

Honestly CP should be volunteer. How much of the animosity towards is because it’s forced? And because you get people who don’’t have the right sort of skills because that’s not what we were hired for?

This is a BS post. Lead Chief of Staff just emailed for 200+ more people to volunteer to cover the strike. If you were fine you wouldn't need 200+ more people.

That’s a flat out story .. we have circuits down for days to get a manager assigned to work central office or field work a tuh the company is losing a ton with the customers outages daily because they have to REBATE customers when an outage is our equipment etc.

Give it a month when no actual preventative maintenance is being done and the whole system crashes down. CWA members can be proud of the millions of customers and businesses they keep connected. You have no idea how lucky you are to work for a company with unionized workers that care about and care for our customers.

All the data I am seeing shows less than 1% of the tickets are being closed. No new services and no repairs. No new revenue and credits applied to the existing customers accounts.

Well, the unions were stupid to wait until now to strike. They should have threatened a strike when Hurricane Debby blew through.

well, with managers in there working, you've got managers finally working and work that is finally getting done. maybe Stanks outta just leave this arrangement in place and bust the unions like he's quietly stated behind closed doors. get 500lb Marta up on that ladder

Union employees have been “creating” trouble for years.

They pull those jumpers for “job security”.

Yeah, the local management teams are doing fine in my area. That is until these union maniacs start sabotaging equipment and plant just to cause chaos and disrupt this unpleasant work stoppage even more.

Ha. Squirrels chewing on power lines and making nests in line extension amplifier cases… hurricane season… box trucks clipping overhead lines… elderly customers can’t find their modem outlet behind their 65 inch TV. Good luck. Good luck.
