Everyone knows that 99% of the CP managers cannot do anything in the field, and that deploying them from outside the local city is a huge waste of money. That is why almost no one with a travel assignment has been deployed. No point in flying to a location, renting a hotel room, and sitting in the CO or other office picking up stuff from other places, or going and getting everyone else's lunch. The Unions should have been using the power of the strike a lot more. ATT is going to have to really consider how much future expense they are saving with the contract negotiations because they are losing revenue everyday. Those budget deficits will reappear in greater amounts when ATT has to pay back wages for time on strike, and OT to catch up with all the work that is not being done.

Not really. The company will pay overtime to catch up on orders when all is said and done and likely cost more than layoff headcount. One could argue layoffs saving even more money.

We don't need customers, we have managers and government subsidies.

Honestly, as a manager AT&T won’t be able to retain customers if their service goes down. And remember it’s the customers who actually sign the paychecks.

Labor charges have been filed so once the ULP tactics stop, good faith bargaining starts and the bargained employees return. Pretty simple math, after that an agreement which will be voted on by members, if majority affirmative then, the contract is ratified. Everything goes back to somewhat normal.

I just returned from inflation, and I asked if 30% increases were making things more expensive. They told me no, it was just making the dollar worth less. So, we have that going for us, which is nice.
That's why we are #1 in our industry.

Just returned from vacation. First question I asked was about impact to the products supported by our team. No impact at all. Other teams on this floor report the same. Is the CWA hurting the customers, or only themselves?

Glad to help, you can thank the company negotiators for using ULP and prolonging it. What is this 3 week past contract expiration? Aug 3rd. Company Negotiators are upset that they are unable to prolong it as long as they have D9, over 5 months now and still no signed contract.

They used same tactics last contract negotiations in 2019. A definite pattern.

Losing customers because of install appointments being canceled and rescheduled 2-3 weeks out.
