I heard a rumor this week that layoffs may be coming again this Fall. Anyone else hearing anything?

I have heard rumblings about additional layoffs as well. In WD&C, our entire team was laid off and reorganized. I’m lucky to still be standing but based on things seen/heard I think the org as a whole might go away.
Good luck to you all!!
According to my SD, there will be no movement until there is a verbal communication from leadership. Anything’s else you hear are just rumors
This is true, however, layoffs are still continuing under the umbrella of "restructuring" with the message "Your role has been eliminated" or "here is your new role and if you choose not to take this role, here is a package".
I’ve been hearing things but not sure what departments, this one may be the clean up after the initial. This is kind of typical from what I’ve seen in the past few years.
Sounds like we may have not cut deep enough base on our performance in the market. This is my assumptions, not trying to start rumors here.
Yes, confirmed by my SD. They will be using latest performance to push more people out.
I have also seen external consultant types meeting with high level geo folks. Some strategy stuff is going on.
If you make under 100k like me you are safe
There have been consultant looking nerds around campus again. More than usual.
Of course they are, $2 billion in cost reduction has to come from somewhere.
Depends, did you make or sell better/more product?
I have been asked to provide a list of names and rankings. Also heavily looking at Jira hours invested by worker.
No, and I doubt it’s true. In fact I think the “rumor” might have been started by you, OP.
Will there be more layoffs at some point in the future? Yes, probably. Another round in 2025 wouldn’t surprise me. Nike is still bloated and there are still way too many people here who collect big paychecks for doing very little actual work. But no, that won’t be happening this fall.
I actually saw the numbers this morning. It isn't good
Layoffs are always coming. Duh! You are in layoff.com!
