I’m currently remote and sometime in July i was given prenotice that i would be displaced sometime in Q3 2024. There is speculation that it may happen today, since it’s a Tuesday after payday. Any thoughts???

Just lost a coworker who was also a good friend. 😕
3 members of my current team were let go (and 1 former member who worked for another manager). All in IT ... All let go simply because of where they lived (Florida). I am sure our age (all in our 40s/50s) had a factor as well of our positions being eliminated.

One remote team member was let go today. The remainder of the team was pulled into a meet to hear about it. Another was told to report into office starting in October.

I think it’s impossible to generalize bankwide. The 60 day notice coming out of loc strat depends in part on capacity to implement and varies with LOB.
Today WAVE2 displacements started.
It depends on how your LOB is handling location strategy. For CSBB, the Tuesday layoffs are not related to location strategy. People who are in hub locations as well as remote employees are in the mix of Tuesday layoffs.
Here's a thought. Why not just wait until the end of the day to see what happens?
That is what my manager briefed us. If you were either IDed for displacement or offered relocation and declined that today is D-Day.
