Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Displacement advisory group

Today is a Tuesday after payday. Do all layoffs happen after the WFB Displacement Advisory group sends letters to a state's employment board & mayor, governor, etc? Is it always going to be that formal? Or in cases with multiple call centers closing, your manager will not get notice from HR 24 hours before they are told who displace? TIA.

Shady practices continue! Complete failure of leadership…candidly displacement is a blessing in disguise

Technically they are replacements... not counted. They are not a reduction in force. Some socialist states, such as MN, are not even in the database.

They very intentionally package the waves such that hardly any warn notices are required. We've had like 20k people downsized in the last 18 months and if you believed the warn notices, it would just be a few hundred. All part of the propaganda campaign. They don't want American customers to be aware that WF is getting rid of all the American workers, so they keep a lid on that news as much as possible outside of bragging to investors. The man on the street doesn't ready WF annual reports, so disclosing some info there is of minimal PR concern.

Seems like they want to do some layoffs off of the radar to avoid publicity on the news media.
