For those who have been around a while who is the Worst CEO you have worked under? For me its MW. His legacy is destroying the morale of the company and layoffs. He seems to want to double down on this. The board needs to make a change now!

Looks like the “no announcement coming” crowd is full of cr-p
Jimmy lee, ceo of Gulf Oil who let Chevron acquire Gulf.
The news is all of CTC is off to Bangalore to make room for inbound Californians. Sorry guys.
To those complaining about MW, would you be happier if your CEO is more like the CEO of ExxonMobil or BP perhaps?
There’s no email coming tomorrow at 8 am.
It’ll go out around 3:30 AM just like the one about corporate HQ moving (oh and also all SR jobs, BTW)
Manila and BA employees will be worried but really it’s US employees who should be. And Business Unit folks better start brushing up on their Indian for any corp function engagements.
You thought IT was bad now? Just wait a few years.
O’Reilly was an oilman. Watson a Financier and now Wirth is an Industrial cost cutter.
O’Reilly built the company, Watson held the ship steady and Wirth is basically liquidating the company to the shareholders keeping the share price artificially high with buy backs until the company is so concentrated it can’t produce any cash flow any longer.
MW likes email announcements. Impersonal and without and empathy. If he did announce in TH, then next time he can't pretend to be the caring human energy ceo.
One thing history will record, MW has done nothing in his tenure to organically grow the company (acquisitions are not organic), no big production deals, no promising lease acquisitions, no significant discoveries, no new production brought online. Our foray into alternative energy has been a farce (remember cow manure?). He's well aware Permian will peak out this decade, just coincidentally in time for him to (finally) retire.
The metric to evaluate a CEO, should be on stock price, production growth, and cash return to share holders, the employee moral based o. Your personal opinion is out of the frame, I think he did a reasonable good job, but not on growth and adding reserves [exploration] also not taking g risks to go after merger and acquisitions of big fish. I would say his legacy is mixed but not that bad.

No announcement, these people just spew BS
No announcement coming
RIP Kenneth Derr, a true leader and great CEO.
Wait what announcement is coming tomorrow at 8am
Um, Chevron has only had four CEOs in the last several decades and they were all about the same. Watson may have been fired but nobody knows for sure. DJO was the last one who knew what he was doing. Unocal had a CEO who liked to play hockey and came from a consultancy background of all things. Texaco's CEO was a hothead who was fired for reportedly taking a swing at someone.
Mw is a coward. Announcement is coming tomorrow at 8 am. He had a.townhall last week where he could have announced it himself. What a useless coward.
ummm who do you think tells MW what to do....The Board! He can try to influence but ultimately in the end, the Board has the final say!
Dave Stover at Noble….MW is a breath of fresh air compared to where we came from.
good on mw. Swing the axe. This place is full of some dead wood who need to be shown the door!
