Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Power to empower webcast

Y’all know if the power to empower crowd even cares about making money for the company that’s in a death spiral? We get yelled at about value add all the time but leaders allow all this to exist! They are talking about brand partners verses bring the network back to past superiority. They must know that employees can’t be brand ambassadors when they are overwhelmed with work —- it does the opposite. Make Verizon Great Again!!!

They eliminated your job. May depend on if you feel you were forced to volunteer and if they’ll accept that. It doesn’t seem to have great details on the site but last time there were people who got it. Max of 15k minus taxes might be worth filling out a form if you thought your seperation fit.

VSP’er here with a soon to be former boss who told his team we had to be in the room at the webcast. How come no one said the new color scheme reminded them of McDonald’s? Would that have made my package null and void? Verizon needs a lot more help than rebranding. The toxic leaders at the top are a big reason why employees don’t feel connected to the brand. You can change the colors, the font, and swap out the celebrities in commercials, but that won’t fix the underlying issue with the company culture.

Can we, VSP, get unemployment benefits (Texas), since we are not terminated for cause? Thanks.

I’m leaving on Sep 13 and I plan to switch my whole family to TMo for the free phone upgrades and cheaper service. Will help offset food prices a bit.

Maybe it is just my personal experience but it seems for a majority of places there is little to no difference for most people in where they get their service.

So they have to find some other reasons to pick VZ. To me the problem is for nearly everything they show any network would do just fine.

This was one of the most vapid, stupid, pointless calls I've ever attended.
