Aetna side…..Talked about layoffs in a unit meeting on Monday (general question that was asked) and the supervisor said no worries about JE in our location. Logged on today to a scheduled 15 minute call next week with the 5 newest members of the unit. All it says “discussion follow up to unit meeting” seems ironic. All of us have just took new positions in this area and each have over 17+ years experience.

Follow up to the post. The meeting was cancelled 1 hr before it was to happen. No one was told what it was about and it isn’t re scheduled at this time. I asked what it was regarding and the question was not answered.
Assuming today is the day for JE/RIF. 15th of the month, end of pay period... Anyone hear of people getting notified?
This is getting ridiculous. All the paranoid posts about meetings. I think you all like the drama and want to feed into all the negativity.

In the town hall they made an appeal for employees to donate to their cvs foundation. Everyone is worried about losing their job and they are asking for donations! Tone deaf.
If anything, it is likely a talk after they get rid of the older workers on your team. Gonna tell you youngins this is your time to shine :)
They don’t normally send the invites out that much in advance. If it’s notification of a RIF, generally shows up day before or day of.
