Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

If not offered the VSP, and RIFd by the end of 2024, does payout change?

VSP = 3 weeks per year
Typical RIF = 2 weeks per year

For those not offered the VSP and RIFd in the last 4 months of this year, is the payout still 2 weeks per year?

@kme+1u0FFg7a My apologies. You are correct. I just found this in the FAQ under question 21. Thank you for being so gracious in your correction, though; it really renews my faith in humanity when someone can be so pleasant when correcting another person. You should run for Congress or something.

@ttj+1u0FFg7a you are completely and utterly incorrect. Anyone RIFd between 5/20/24 and 3/28/24 who was NOT part of the Voluntary offer gets the enhanced package. Stop spewing BS. The only way you don't get it is if you were eligible for VSP and did NOT volunteer.

I was in an excluded group, and was RIF’d. They gave me the enhanced package. 3 weeks per year, prorated bonus, Stock together payout, and benefits.

"If you were not offered the VSP (an excluded group) and you are involuntarily RIFd before 3/28/25, you get the enhanced package. That's 3 weeks per year capped at 60 weeks."

How does this misunderstanding continue to be stated? If you were not offered VSP (that is, you are in an excluded group), you do not get the enhanced package. Full stop.

If you were offered VSP, opted in, and are denied but then you are RIF'd before 3/28/2025, only then will you get the enhanced package.

I believe it would be 2 weeks per year capped at 35 weeks.
