Maybe someone here can help me. I filed for unemployment and was paid for week ending 7/6z. I logged in this morning and now that week is showing as an overpayment with no explanation as to why. I googled and it now looks like it might be a waiting week violation, which I am not clear if I should’ve filed for the waiting week or not. Anyone here had a similar experience?

Don't pay back the overpayment!! I had the same thing happen and paid it back, thinking it was me who messed up. I finally talked to someone at OED and they said it was an error on their part and they would refund me, but this hasn't happened (that was months ago). Just ignore it and try to talk to someone on the phone. Don't use the main line, try this one: 503-947-1710.
Otherwise, just ignore it and keep filing your weekly claims on Sundays.
You are supposed to file a claim for the waiting week but they’re not supposed to pay you for the waiting week. I think this is them who messed up. I assume you won’t get paid second week and go back to normal third week.
They automatically hold the waiting week and do not pay you. No action on your part except you have to file and prove you were looking.
