Wake up every single US job that is below the Board is done HB-1 Visas for Pharmacy Staff, HQ in UAE every.single company is doing this to break the US period. The US Work laws do not work for the Global Robber Barons, no working laws do they see a pure vision you work for food only, no more breeding unless you are what they want.

Let me explain the math and how it really works. An estimated 2,900 employees were given notice that they were being laid off on October 7, 2024. In the written documentation provided to those laid off (on that same day) was a copy of the WARN notice stating the names of the affected individuals. CVS had to issue the WARN notice 60 days in advance of layoff. That is why those notified of layoff on Oct 7th are still on the payroll as full-time employees, with benefits intact, until December 7, 2024. So there is the 60 days, no "smoke and mirrors".

Severance starts right after December 7th. What CVS is doing is in compliance with the law. Please do not spread false rumors or information based on a lack of knowledge just to make the company look bad. I got my WARN notice on October 7th. Am I happy about being laid off? Of course not, but posting false and misleading information just scares and upsets people.

WARN is not always going to actually 'warn' you. Stop relying on it. There are different factors that go into that actually being posted.

It's coming, we just don't know where or who will be affected.

Has anyone not noticed there hasn't been those lovely CVS memos that get sent out daily in weeks? It's happening. Read the writing on the wall.

Is the New Corporate HQ in the United Arab Emirites? If so they move ever last job out of the US they don't have to tell the US Government nothing and they can do whatever they want. The UAE does not cooperate with any outside Governments. That's why everything has been moving there, the Rich know it's their Cash Cow to be above the law!

work has to be done in the us, development work, so cannot be outsourced

Unlikely hmm they have been aggressively hiring outside the US and doubling up jobs making us all Redundant. It's not just here all companies in the US are doing this to cause a cataclysm to the economy so Big Boy takes total control and lets corps do anything they want with no taxes and no workers rights!

Since the day they started handing work over to offshore is when Aetna started to decline slowly. The high turnover add to the lack of thoroughness. They have production issues out the yang. They can't possibly reduce the numbers in IT again. It's slim with FTE's as it is. Need to retain some knowledge....

Stop believing these troll posts. A 33% reduction of workforce is preposterous. Companies in chapter 7 don’t cut that much.

heavy hiring, promotions, remote work , great management for Engineering.( cash cows for CVS pumping the stock from 55 to 60 and to 100 )

The evidence I see are how insane management has been recently with trying to ensure every process is documented so "anyone" can come in and do the work. The whole "everyone needs to know each others job" lecture have been at a level that I have never seen in 20 years. .
My manager has been relentless with documenting things that are just common sense to any professional with common sense. The signs are all there
