travel is cancelled for august, asked by manager to eliminate all non essential work related expense, big layoff is indeed coming. the next two weeks will really be the calm before the storm

This company is a disease that is spreading. RTO is a joke as no one goes in and if they do, stay for an hour. What a waste this has become. Morale is low and work is up while productivity is down.

Nearly all the travel I did was non-essential, but they made me do it anyway before severancing me last month. If I knew this was coming I wouldn’t have accepted and just worked from home forever like Engineer.

This company is forcing people to NOT be remote. If you want a promotion, all the higher level positions now require you be Hybrid, so you have to live near a hub and go into the office 3 days a week
