With the Town Hall scheduled for August 13, will they do layoffs before or after? Thoughts?

Accenture has proven that can't do their jobs. Areas are reinvesting in FTEs
I cannot wait to tank the survey again...fu-k this place
A lot of FTEs are being replaced by Accenture resources.
please be specific. if you know the team whose members are impacted. you are not helping anyone by posting such messages. we need team info. IT, Business area at the least
I know several that their last day was today…not it’s not a rumor. It’s happening—but on a quiet level it seems.
But it’s the CVS way. Leave everyone hanging for weeks on end. Not to mention ruin your summer. It’s been a tough year, but I can now be glad that I was affected last August. I am at a better company with a job that I am excited about.
Best of luck folks! There are better options out there.
it all comes to this now. we better be over with this layoff thing already. sooner the better. its playing with our emotions and morale.
Next week
what isthe supervisor title? some are safe some not? may be highly paid ones will go first
I noticed that my supervisor is now off all next week, so August layoffs sound about right 😕
If the next quarter report is another disaster then they will throw Wall Street a labor bone when the report is released, so the process should begin about then.
Yup - last year they announced on 8/1 and started letting impacted individuals know about 8/15.
Layoffs likely 8/1 or 8/15 like last year. The people leader meeting is on all the manager's calendars for the finance side.
what is that "people leader" meeting? where do you see it ?
Layoffs are right before Christmas. Same time every year per usual.
There's a "people leader" meeting next Tuesday with Karen , likely when we will be told about the RIF....

not one team laid off, just rumors ...
@xxg+1ty0JV0Q Wake up and smell the coffee. A bad first quarter. A potentially equally bad second quarter is on the horizon. The Medicare issues persist, and the stock is down. (And $60 a share isn't anything to crow about)
Remember this is CVS we're talking about. When things go south, human cost is the only cuts corporate know how to make. Because it's the easiest thing to do. So cut demand hours at the stores, and lay people off, and maybe even close a few stores. Anything to make the company look good on paper. Plus it gives wall street analysts the appearance that corporate has everything under control. So yeah not fear spreading, more like not sticking one's head in the sand, and seeing things for what they really are.
This company ruins my mental health. We had a town hall yesterday nothing was mentioned (IT)
I think enough people are quitting that the layoffs may be muted to some degree. They should replace 2 out of every 3 people quitting and they'll reduce headcount without draconian moves which freaks everyone out. Guarantee next survey is going to be God awful
There’s no layoffs. Stop with the fear
I don’t know last year they announced right before the earning call and laid off 2 weeks later right on 15th. Unless they sad something abruptly towards the end of the month, I would say there’s not a wave of layoffs. Tho I’m not 100% sure about this myself as well.
Probably after. They started on the 14th last year. Of course right before payday.
