Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

My Swan Song

I realize that we have a somewhat divided camp on this forum. I sympathize with ANYONE that works here now. Regardless of where you came from. I'm on my last leg and will be gone long before this year is done.

When I came to BB&T, the long standing, and incredibly smart, senior credit officer gave me a hard back book that detailed the history of BB&T. I still have that book.

When I retire, I plan to send that book to Kelly King, signed, and with this message... "this, and the people, is what your greed cost US."

Should anyone else feel compelled to send Kelly a personal thank you for the damage he has wrought, or if you miss his sanctimonious BS, you can find him at www.kskinvestors.com. Make certain to check the " Reflections " section of the website for all of your "purpose" needs and to truly turn your stomach.

Kelly was bad and the SunTrust leadership was worse. It’s a bad bank by all standards.

Not to mention the family members of the associates that sacrificed so that we could make him rich.

What an ego to think that he has “reflections” that anyone needs to read. The merger has been unsuccessful. Adverse effects on careers was unnecessary

Kelly has now ruined the careers of many people that made him a lot of money back in the day.

Went to that site. Read two “reflections”, oth of which I’d heard live and in person.

Now slowly sipping ginger ale and nibbling saltines to quiet my stomach.

jobs are nothing more than a necessity these days. stop thinking anyone gives a hoot about you as a person - THEY DON'T - and if you get a glimpse that they do - it is nothing but a mirage. long term employment is over - staying a place 20 years - will no longer happen - 24 to 36 months will even be a stretch. with senior execs exiting like rats jumping off a sinking ship - you know this thing is short lived - in fact, it is probably being marketed right now for a takeover/sell (and most likely at bargain basement prices.

Funny how so many forget the lunacy at hBBT. We had rifs, reorgs, bad mgt, etc. we went through ups and downs. All of us 20+ years. This is year 4 of Truist. Take a chill pill.
