Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

RTO

I am hoping someone can answer why those in offices are being scrutinized to be in the office daily and 8 hours, when 1/4 or so of Fiserv is remote and do not have to worry about this. It seems like discrimination!

It’s not “discrimination” for a company to decide on an in-office policy.

And in-office employees are ABSOLUTELY safer in their roles than WFH staff. If you are remote you are vulnerable.

It’s inevitable WFH and RTO people turn on each other but let’s try not to. I’m RTO, I don’t like it, I’d rather go to an office but I can’t drive four hours a day. There’s pros and cons to each arrangement and the divide is caused by management, not regular staff.

Anyone thinking in office employees have more job security than those that are still remote is delusional……. nobody is safe!

Seriously!?!? First off, you’re completely wrong that 1 in 4 is remote or that anyone still working remote has any level of job security (other than those that fall into the under paid category that others mentioned)! And second, you really are some kind of wonderful thinking that because you’re ‘suffering’ in the office everyone else needs to suffer as well. How about it just being ridiculous that they are forcing the RTO at all? Such a cr-p mindset! I’m so glad to be away from that place and toxic people like you.

Not even close to 1 in 4 are remote. Not even sure if that was true in the JY days. I’d guess it is under 10% now, and falling.

Do as I say...not as I do my little minions.

This post is so tone deaf. Those that are remote are being forced to relocate hundreds or thousands of miles from home or lose their job. Don't worry, soon enough there won't be anyone remote for you to be jealous of.

Let’s talk of the legality for making exempt workers do this. Let’s talk about discrimination that Frank says 4 days and most of the company is that way except for su-ky Chris from merchant solutions technology formerly known as GBS

Some of those remote workers are low paid and high performers. They sacrifice $$ and promotions to stay remote. Sooner or later Frank will probably get to them. I think 25% remote is probably not accurate anymore.

Probably those asked to be in the office are making more money than they want to pay so they torture you physically and mentally to make you quit. And those underpaid are allowed to working remotely as added benefit, so they can keep paying them lower.

Because if you quit they can hire someone cheaper.
